Come hear the finest concert bands in the greater Cincinnati area on Sunday afternoon, May 25, 2008, 2:00 pm at P&G Pavilion, Sawyer Point. Members from a dozen ensembles will be playing in a mass band setting with each band director taking a turn at the baton. Imagine listening to over 300 talented musicians playing your favorite marches in a beautiful setting. Admission is free. As an added bonus, the Cincinnati Brass Band, directed by Anita Cocker Hunt, has been named as the Feature Band this year and will provide a stirring conclusion to the concert.

1:00-1:30 - Festival Band (Mass Band) Seating & Warm-up
1:30-1:50 - Festival Band Preparation "Talk Through"
2:00-3:00 - Festival Band Performance
3:00-3:15 - Feature Band (Cincinnati Brass Band) Set-up
3:15-4:15 - Feature Band performance

The Festival Band program will include the Star Spangled Banner, Queen City March, Washington Post (Sousa), Americans We (Fillmore), America the Beautiful (arr. Carmen Dragon), Patriotic Sing-A-Long (audience participation), The Thunderer (Sousa), Men of Ohio (Fillmore), On the Mall (Goldman), American Salute (Gould), Armed Forces Salute, Stars & Stripes Forever (Sousa). 

Participating bands include the Anderson Community Band, Brass Ole, Cincinnati Brass Band, Florence Community Band, Greenhills American Legion Band, Mason Community Band, Mount Community Concert Band, New Horizons Band, Ohio Military Band, Oola Kahn Grotto Band, St. John UCC Band on the Lawn, Southwest Ohio Symphonic Band, Sycamore Community Band, Queen City Concert Band (host band) and Queen City Rainbow Band.
